Beginning Hand Building w/ Julie Latayan

Beginning hand building with Julie Latayan is for anyone that wants an introduction to play with clay. Learn all the basic techniques of hand building. The class will focus on functional and decorative pottery with a variety of techniques. Beginning hand building with Julie Latayan is for anyone that would like to explore figurative sculpture with clay, and learn the basic techniques of hand building. Students will build sculptural forms using slab, coils and pinch pots Figures will be built hollow and finished in underglazes. Students will learn the following techniques; slab, pinch pots and coil. Having the knowledge of these building styles you are unlimited in creating. The class includes one bag of clay, glazing materials and all firings.
